New Trail Construction at Burr Oak State Park

Come on out, rain or shine, and help construct new Buckeye/North Country/ American Discovery and Burr Oak Back Pack Trail. We’ll meet at Burr Oak Dock #3. This will be the first step in creating an approximately 50 mile loop hike with Wildcat Hollow and Burr Oak Backpack loop combined. Please bring a sack lunch, water, and sturdy footwear.

Tools will be provided, but feel free to bring along your loppers, pruners, Pulaski, mattock, fire rakes and McLeod’s if you’ve got ’em. Come on out and we’ll show you, no experience required, only a willingness to join in some good hard work!!

To get to Burr Oak State Park Dock #3 take SR 13 N of Glouster, OH to SR 78 East past Burr Oak State Park Lodge. A small brown sign indicating Dock #3 will direct you to the left, down to the lakeside. Towards the bottom veer to the right to the lakeside parking lot.
